Frank Cannas Fine Art
Frank began Exhibiting while still fully employed in 1981. In 1992 The Artist Magazine Featured Franks work with the cover and an article about hard and soft edges, in painting. In 1996 he retired and now he paints for his own Pleasure and for his studios. Fine art is his way of life, and he paints piein-aire or in his studio at home. He has won over 20 awards in nationaly juried exhibitions and he is also a member of the board of the Hudson valley Art association.
Phyllis Tarlow Fine Art
I've been working professionally as an artist since the early 80's, first entering the world of art as a commercial artist and illustrator and gradually turned toward portraiture and fine art. Commissioned portraits continue to hold a place in my work life, but increasingly, oil landscapes have become central to my body of work and have captured my heart and attention.
Roberta Griffin Art
Roberta Griffin was born in 1943 into an extended family that included several professional artists and writers. Her uncle, a graphic designer, had a home studio where she discovered the joys of painting while very young.
At the age of fifteen she began classical training under Frank J. Reilly. Reilly’s lectures opened her mind to the Symbolist school—the idea that natural things could represent multiple philosophical meanings.
Jane Bannerman
Jane Campbell Bannerman married Charles S. Bannerman, the grandson of the builder of Bannerman Island. Jane is a graduate of Parsons School of Design and studied painting in France. She is a retired interior designer and on the board of directors of The Bannerman Castle Trust, Inc. Jane's paintings can be found at the Swann Inn and The Bannerman Island Gallery in Beacon.
Linda Holmes Richchi
Plein Air Colorist
"Painting "en plein air" ("in open air" on location) is an opportunity for me to work in nature and connect to our source. It is my intention to capture the brilliance of creation and a love of life. Using all the senses, including intuition, I work to transfer this experience onto my canvas. Color is used in a way to recreate the same feelings in my heart that are felt on location."
