NEIL CAPLAN is the Executive Director and former President and Founder of The Bannerman Castle Trust, Inc. which is dedicated to preserving Bannerman Castle on Pollepel Island as an historical, educational and cultural facility. He is NY State Licensed Real Estate Broker who has worked in real estate for twenty years. Neil owns his own real estate office on Main Street in Beacon called Castle Keep Realty and curates The Bannerman Island Gallery.
He is a trustee for The Mount Beacon Incline Society. Neil also is president of Neil Caplan Productions. Neil has a background in theatre and has worked professionally in every aspect including acting, singing directing, props as well as set design.
Neil is a member of The Dutchess Regional Chamber of Commerce, BACA, Beacon Arts Community Association and The Beacon Business Association. Neil is the editor of BCT newsletter, “The Banner”, as well as the editor for the BCT “Hudson Highlands Journal”. Neil also edits the Newsletter for The Incline Society.

Neil enjoys creating miniture dollhouse room boxes and gingerbread houses with Darlene.
DARLENE (SWANN) CAPLAN graduated from Parson's School of Design as a fashion designer. Darlene has worked as a free-lance designer for Helena Stuart's "Only Hearts" in New York City designing unique bustiers that are sold around the world. Darlene's designs for Only Hearts have been seen in fashion magazines, including "Vogue" and Bazaar.
Darlene is an avid gardener, who along with her mother Virginia, has planted the raised garden flower beds around the Inn. Gardners are welcome to help in the garden.
